CONSTRUCTION UPDATES

On Tuesday, November 7, 2023, Battle Lake voters approved the one-question bond referendum in the amount of $30,520,000 for facility and learning environment improvements. We are grateful for the support of our Battlers community!

TIME TO DESIGN

Design Process Overview
The design process began in early February, marking the start of an extensive collaboration between the design team and the Battle Lake Building Committee. Throughout March and April, we embarked on the Plan Development and Schematic Design phase, during which the design team at SitelogIQ met bi-weekly with the Battle Lake Building Committee. In addition to these meetings, break-out focus group sessions were held with various user groups, including Office Administration, PE/Athletics, Music Department (Band & Choir), CTE (AG & Trades and Industry), Computer and Digital Lab, and Kitchen & Concessions. These sessions were crucial in confirming the programming and needs of each group, ensuring that the new facilities will meet the needs of the school community.

Next Steps
As we approach the end of July, we are wrapping up the Design Development phase. Once the Building Committee approves the Design Development plans, we will move into the Construction Document phase, which will run from August through October. The project is on schedule, with the goal of going out for bids in late November 2024. We’re looking forward to starting construction in the spring of 2025.
