We have the finest staff and students in Western Minnesota and our recent string of awards has placed our school in the spotlight for exemplary education in both the state and nation! For 6 consecutive years, Battle Lake High School was named a Minnesota Reward School. There are only 14 schools out of a total of approximately 800 in the state that accomplished this milestone each year. Battle Lake High School was the only Public High School in the state of Minnesota to receive this award for 6 consecutive years.

• Battle Lake District - National Blue Ribbon School for 2014 (This is the highest national honor.)

• Battle Lake Elementary School - National Blue Ribbon School 2011 (This is the highest national honor.)

• Battle Lake High School - routinely listed as U.S. News & World Reports America's Best High Schools.

Our school’s values are what many might consider to be old-fashioned – academic rigor, hard work, integrity, responsibility, accountability, respect and compassion. We still believe in those and feel they are essential to raising kids that will become productive citizens. We pair that value-system with an ever-evolving, innovative and engaging curriculum that will prepare our graduates to compete in today’s global job market.

Our facility is top-notch with a breathtaking auditorium and recently remodeled science wing. We are a 1:1 district that issues Chromebooks to every student 2nd grade - 12th grade for enhanced learning experiences, classrooms equipped with Smart Boards and interactive panel technology, a CNC milling machine, an iPad lab, and we are one of the first schools in the region to have multiple 3-D printers dedicated to student learning. We also maintain some of the finest athletic facilities for a school of our size including an all-weather track.
