Battle Lake School was awarded a "Stop Arm Grant" totaling $18,300 in late 2022. The grant included ten camera sets (one outside, one inside) and all hardware. Installation of the "Stop Arm Cameras" began in December 2022 and as of April 1, 2023, Battle Lake School has a total of 14 buses that are now equipped with camera technology! Teachers are one of the most important influences in a child's life. Through the Future Goals™ Most Valuable Teacher program presented by SAP, the NHL and the NHLPA are proud to celebrate some of the best teachers out there and offer fans a chance to vote for the teacher that they feel best embodies the spirit of the program.
The NHL, NHLPA, SAP and EVERFI have selected Stacy Lundquist, of Battle Lake School, to be one of 20 teachers across North America to be entered into the Most Valuable Teacher Program presented by SAP for the month of April.
To cast your vote, simply click on your favorite teacher's headshot." Students and parents will be able to vote once a day, every day, for Mrs. Lundquist, until 11:59pm ET on April 30, 2023.
The teacher with the most votes each month (the monthly finalist) will win an NHL Club jersey and a $10,000 donation towards Environmental Sustainability Resources from SAP for their school district.

Due to the winter storm warning, and the predicted forecast, Battle Lake schools will have an e-learning day today Friday, 3/31.
March BattlersConnect was a wild game of all-school bingo! Elementary paired up with 7-12th graders while bingo numbers were read over the loudspeaker. When a pair received a bingo they had to link arms, yell a Battler cheer, and run to the counseling office for a prize!

Street Law students spent the week learning about Blood Spatter. Students performed labs that showed how a bloodstain analysts will seek to answer questions about the manner and sequence of events of a crime by examining the bloodstains left behind.

Minnesota Honors Society members spent the day volunteering at the Dorothy Day Food Pantry in Moorhead. They cleaned, stocked, rearranged, repackaged, and helped in every way they could. Dorothy Day is an incredible resource to those in need - we were so blessed to be here!
So much music has happened in the last week at Battle Lake School!
Band and Choir both hosted Large Group Contest, each earning Superiors, there was a Choir Concert on Monday evening, and guest artist, international guitarist Pavlo played at our school!
