Members of the Battle Lake School BPA Chapter attended the 2022 Fall Leadership Conference (FLC) October 30-31 in Alexandria, MN. While there, students participated in group activities, leadership sessions, testing preparation, speaker presentations, and so much more. It was a great kickoff for BPA, getting students excited for the competitive year ahead. Our first competition is the Region 7 Conference scheduled for January 20, 2023!

Fall Carnival for kids in Preschool - Grade 6 is this Thursday, October 27, from 5:00-7:00pm in the BL School cafeteria. Pizza meal will be on sale for $5 and game tickets are 25 cents apiece. Children are encouraged to come in costume and enjoy the festivities! Proceeds benefit Summer Rec and Preschool programs.

October's BattlersConnect focused on GRATITUDE! All 7-12 students met with K-6 students to create thank you cards to people we are thankful for. A HUGE shout out to Big Fish Kayaks who donated ice cream to our ENTIRE school for a gratitude ice cream social!

On BEACH DAY during Homecoming Week the second graders enjoyed listening to instrumental Hawaiian music while reading on towels on make believe island beaches. It was especially fun because it was cold outside!
